I am trying to find research, studies, articles, etc. that specifically support the value of school library programs in Kindergarten and First Grade. I am on a fixed schedule and meet with K and 1 only 13 times a year. We are recommending to administration that these level every week. Primary people realize the importance, but I would like to have something definitive to back up our proposal. A straw poll of area schools show that K-1 classes in the area meet weekly. I went to the archives but did not find anything. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
