Thanks to those who have so kindly responded. One person suggested that I
post the books we are doing and perhaps there might be questions lurking out
in cyberspace.

In our Senior Division there is Ace, the important pig, Ramona's World,
Runt, Tales of 4th Grade nothing, Tales of Despereaux, the BFG, Ssadako and
the 1000 paper cranes, Because of Winn-Dixie, Hatchet, The Chalk Box Kid,
Frindle, and Love that Dog.

Junior Division is John Henry, Man who walked between the towers, Snowflake
Bently, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Nate the Great and the Missing
Key, Flat Stanley, the Library Dragon, Is your Mama a Llama, Green Kangaroo,
Mouse Tales, Jimmy's Boa ate the wash, If you give a pig a pancake, Sheep in
a Jeep, Joseph had an overcoat, Commander Toad and the Planet of the Grapes,
Sepp;ing Ugly, Miss Bindergarten gets ready for kindergarten, Amos and Boris
and finally Stellaluna.

Thoughts and ideas about the types of questions for the three levels i.e.
in-class preliminary competition, grade level-competition, schoolwide K-3
and 3-4 competition. Would 20-25 questions per book cover all three levels?
Do the questions get harder or more detailed? Any guidelines on writing
the questions?

thanks
