9th INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL LIBRARY DAY
OCTOBER  22, 2007

In order to highlight the wonderful work school libraries are doing
around the world, the International School Library Day committee
(under the auspices of IASL) is pleased to announce the theme for this
year's celebration. The theme is, "Learning: Powered by Your School
Library" which highlights the importance of school library programs
and how they are vital in all areas  of education today. School
libraries promote reading and literacy skills, as well as information
skills. They help to provide the foundations for lifelong learning.
School libraries matter and make a difference!

more details in the coming months. Right now you can read about the
wide variety of activities that have happened over the past eight
years!!
