[LM_NET] Target: Middle East Book Needed

I have a home-schooling mom at my church that is looking for a book on
Iran/Iraq/Middle East that will give her a better knowledge of the history
of the area, particularly history that will provide insight on the current
situations in the area.  She is also hoping to be able to use the book
with her children once they get to the high school level in a couple of
years.  The book would not need to cover Biblical history of the area
since she wants to focus on the current events and more modern history
(and she already understands the Biblical roots of the area).
While we're on the topic, I'd also love to find out your top 5 books for
elementary school on this same topic.  I have a few books on the Middle
East, but the need now is probably greater than my supply.
