Did you know about the array of contests being
sponsored as a part of Teen Tech Week (TTW)? Contests
are a simple, fun way to get your teens involved!
Find program ideas, booklists, and more contest
information on the TTW Web site,
www.ala.org/teentechweek, or the TTW Wiki:
http://teentechweek.wikispaces.com.

*Have you made a display using the official Teen Tech
Week products? Take a picture of your display and
enter the ALA Graphics/YALSA Teen Tech Week Display
Contest sponsored by ALA Graphics.

*Ask your teens to create a mini movie advertising the
different technology resources available at the
library, and then have them enter the Teen Tech Week
Video Contest by using YouTube. This contest is
sponsored by YALSA.

*Following TTW, YALSA members are invited to submit a
summary of their most successful TTW program (using
the official application form which is forthcoming).
The member that is selected as having the best TTW
program wins a visit from author Lauren Myracle, which
will take place during Teen Read Week, Oct. 14-20,
2007. This contest is being sponsored by Amulet
Books, an imprint of Harry Abrams Inc.

Everyone who registered for Teen Tech Week is
automatically entered into a drawing to win one of the
following:

*A one-year subscription to Rosen Publishers' Teen
Health and Wellness Database

*A one year subscription to E*Vanced's Summer Re*ader

Don't forget, anyone who registers to participate in
TTW will get 2 free weeks of Live Homework Help from
Tutor.com. Check the TTW Web site during Teen Tech

access.

Be sure to order your Teen Tech Week products by

You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places
where people sit in silence, and that's been the main reason
for our policy of employing wild animals as librarians.
