[LM_NET] Advice on cataloging for student in SLM cataloging class.

Hi!  I was wondering if someone would share with me the reasons and
importance of having a written technical processing policy for cataloging
materials?  Should the policy list specifics for different grade levels?  I
am especially interested in the elementary level.  Any sample policies that
you might be able to send would be most helpful. As a student in an online
cataloging class, I would appreciate information and advice from experienced
library media specialists/ school catalogers.
