HI all, If you are looking for a position for the fall, the Clark County School District is in desperate need of school librarians. In order to even apply, you must have a teaching certificate and a school library media specialist certificate (or be able to get one) in Nevada. Websites below will help you get more info. http://www.doe.nv.gov/licensing.html http://ccsd.net/jobs/ There are several elementary positions in Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas, and two rural positions, one in Sandy Valley covering the elem., mid, and a brand new HS (very small schools). Nevada does not have a state income tax, and the district pays all of your retirement costs. There is a signing bonus this year, too. Housing costs have been inflated for a few years, but are coming back down. Clark County employs one librarian in every school--over 350 so far and more opening this fall. Any questions?? -- **************** Ms. Lee D.
