Thanks Peter for the link.  I had already read it this morning in the Times, and 
thought -- Some of us should write to the Times to let them know this is not a new 
phenomenon.  Librarians have always been the hippest people in general.  The 
stereotypes have been created by the media (see the movie "It's a Wonderful Life," 
for example).    The fact that the Times is just picking up on how radical and cool 
librarians are shows they had previously bought the stereotype.
