While looking for something else I stumbled upon this pdf document from the Ohio Department of Education regarding Library Guidelines. Many of you probably know this document but for those who don't it is a gold mine of information. We often discuss setting benchmarks and appropriate curriculum for grade levels, information literacty and what it looks like and have recently talked about whether or not we are reading teachers. This document ( over 200 pages) covers these topics and even includes a section on copyright and a listing of book awards and national and local "events" such as Banned Book Week etc. and the library studies. You will see many familiar names and faces in the report too. What a great resource even if you don't live or teach in Ohiol Darlene Here is the link: http://www.ode.state.oh.us/GD/Templates/Pages/ODE/ODEDetail.aspx?Page=3&TopicRelationID=340&Content=31719 Darlene Yasick Media Specialist Hopkins (MI) High School lib027yas@global.net -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
