Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Regular Edition: 784 pages
Deluxe Edition: 814 - I think I heard.

I figure, given what is happening in my "real life" it will take a week.

Subject: OT: 18th birthday

Hello Ol' WIse ones,

I just realized that I am getting old! My baby will be 18 in November and
is expecting a big surprise party. Besides the traditional birthday cake
and goodies, is there something you have done to make this day a big
surprise. Now, please remember, my daughter thinks she is a princess and
would like a trip to an exotic land. You can't travel far on our salary, so
please keep this in mind. I keep telling her she can see the world in a
FedEx box or I could call "Brown" and see what they can do for her :) Yep,
the poor mom strikes again.

Please answer off line. Thanks in advance .....

Subject: TARGET: Looking for drawing story from Wilder's Little House books

Here's my question, which I hope someone will know. I'm working on
finishing=
=20
my new storytelling book for Libraries Unlimited, due next week, almost
done=
,=20
coming out in the fall. One of the stories I'm including in there is my=20
version of "The Tale of a Black Cat," a classic American draw-and-tell
story=
. I'm=20
recalling that there was a version of this story in one of the Little
House=20
books, but I can't find any mention of it online. If you have any further
wo=
rds of=20
wisdom on this, I'd love to know which book it's from and, if it's online=20
somewhere, the text, or at least what the story's about & what page it's
on.=
 I=20
don't have a set of the "Little House" books at home.

Much obliged--

Subject: Digital walkie talkies

Need to purchase new walkie talkies for one of our
schools --

They need to be digital walkie talkies that operate up
to a mile away. The campus is spread out, we need
maybe as many 12-15 so that there is coverage all over
the campus. They want the ones that you can talk to
one person or a group that you select.

can you guys send me some companies that I can
contact?

Thanks

Within an hour, I had an answer about my draw-and-tell story and the

Here's what Sarah said:

Subject: Solution: pimping a my space page

Thanks so much, everyone, for all the great suggestions.

Many wrote just to say that they got a good laugh from my "problem."

That's wonderful. After all, having a laugh at another's expense and
waiting our turn to have ours is what life's all about.

I got many suggestions of getting one of my teen patrons to do it and offers
of help.

But, we recently hired a tech assistant to help patrons at the reference
desk with computer issues so we can do reference.

I told him my problem, and he offered to take care of it (the page, not my
boss) for me.

so, http://www.myspace.com/euclidpubliclibrary if you wanna have a looksie.
