I spent the day reading, singing, dancing, making puppets and
brainstorming ideas with Toni Buzzeo, Pat Miller and Rob Reid at the
Library Sparks Road Show in Dallas!

WOW!! If you haven't had a chance to see their presentations about
Reader's Theater, songs that correlate with books during storytime,
games to use with ALL levels in elementary libraries, puppet-making,
storytelling, and library lessons, lessons, lessons....then you need
to be sure to catch them next year! (There are only two or three
programs left on this year's tour--- http://tinyurl.com/2ue3c9 )

This is an awesome program that certainly "Sparks" the creative
juices. Every moment was upbeat with transitions that involved every
member of the audience and all of the information was something we
could take with us to use NOW (I'm headed to the craft stores tomorrow
to find supplies for my storytelling and Reader's Theater props---and
I'm jotting reminders to myself to check websites shared for scripts,
songs, etc!!)

Just thought I'd share this awesome program with you. If you haven't
seen the advertisement earlier this summer (or didn't know about it),
check the "Library Sparks" journal online to see more (and investigate
this resource for great ideas to use once school starts!)
