Perhaps it would be beneficial to invite school board members to library conferences, with a special workshop for them on how they can improve school performance through school libraries. Granted, not everyone would go, but by inviting and educating school board members they would take the information back. One school board member fired up about what librarians actually do and can do through collaboration could create a positive ripple to other board members. Paula S.W.
