This is my first year as a Media Coordinator and I love it. What I don't love however, is inventory! I have tried to do it a couple of different ways: 1) I gave students shelf lists and asked them to arrange the books in order and 2) I have a Follet Dolphin that I have been using to scan barcodes and upload them into Destiny. Both ways are extremely frustrating. I have spent days going back behind the students and putting the books in order, after they have reassured me that their shelves were done. My assistant has been scanning the barcodes, but the reports don't tell me anything about what is missing or misshelved. Does anyone have any suggestions of a better way to do it next year?
