The best thing I did this year is to create a Book review database for students
online. It is pretty simplistic, they enter the information in an Access form and
it compiles the reviews in alpha title order. We have had over 2000 entries since I
put it up in Dec. It still is a work in progress, I want to make it sortable, but I
wanted to wait until the summer when they stopped posting to take it down and mess
around with it.
Have a wonderful, refreshing summer and come back ready for another great year!

The best thing I did this year was organizing the Media Center -
rearranging the shelving and starting inventory. This is my second year
as media specialist and I didn't try to tackle anything big last year.
This year I reorganized the non-fiction section so that it made sense. A
previous media specialist has it arranged in such a way that I still
haven't figured out the logic of it. I also consolidate the fiction
section so that the same book isn't located in five different areas.
Finally, I have begun the inventory process. The materials in our Media
Center haven't been inventoried in over a decade! It's probably going to
take me the entire summer to get it done, but it will be worth the time
        and effort.

Today is our last day of school, so I just want to wish all of you a
wonderful summer. This group has such amazing professionals who give of
their time and wisdom. You all are my heroes.

        Sincerely,
