[LM_NET] best thing I did this year

I took a paternity leave and stayed home for 12 weeks with my baby girl 
(johannawagner.blogspot.com) - I worked the pre-duty days and the first week of 
school to get things organized, then turned over my beloved library to a retired 
veteran whom I knew only by reputation.

I told the substitute to do whatever she does best (it turned out - less tech, more 
reading).  The kids loved her, and I kept many of the (minor) changes that she 
implemented.  I returned a more patient man, and I've learned to look at the kids 
who used to annoy me and say, "some parent loves that kid.  I'd better go easy on 
him."
