Library Queen reporting for duty! Just got out of a great session on the
iN2015 (intelligent Nation 2015) initiative in Singapore. Go to
www.in2015.org to check it out. Our school district is adopting the
Singapore Math model for next year. They have an integrated plan between
the DOE and industry to prepare their students for the flat earth.

This is my first time at the conference. It can be overwhelming. Saw Joyce
Valenza deep in conversation with someone yesterday, so I didn't stop to
speak. I went to a presentation on presentations (is that meta?) with Ian
Jukes. He was modelling outstanding presentation tips and tricks. Here's
the irony: the poor guy was in San Antonio at 2:30 a.m. the night before,
the airline lost his luggage, and the signal for his presentation remote was
haywire - the computer kept crashing. He was marvelous, though stressed,
and we learned a tremendous amount. I know my presentation at AASL will
benefit greatly from my attendance at his workshop.

I'm learning so much, my head is stretching! More later!
