My niece (age 11) is having back surgery, and I'd like to send her a book or two to help pass the time. They live far away so I get to spend very little time with her and I have no idea what she likes or what she may have read already! The only thing I do know is that she likes American Girl magazine. The family is quite religious, so it needs to be squeaky clean in content. Something funny or just fun maybe? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
