Hi folks! I have a summer school teacher that wants to have her students design a colonial shop for a summer school gifted cluster assignment. She asked me if I knew what we call one of the old-time signs that would hang outside the shops that only has a picture on it to let customers know what is inside. For instance, a sign shaped like a pig outside of the butcher's shop. Does anyone have any idea? She wants to use the correct terminology. I used to know what they were called, but I guess my summer brain has already kicked in. Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Troy Hand, LMS King's Fork Middle School 350 King's Fork Rd.
