Well, despite my best efforts, our principal is going with a four day block schedule for special areas this year. Music, Art, and PE will each have students for an hour on a 4 day rotation. Library will be 30 min. on the same 4 day rotation. SO! As thankful as I am that it is realized that assigning an hour a day would seriously limit library accessibility, I am totally struggling with how to manage this schedule with regards to issues like book return and scheduling. As it is, a 30 minute class does not allow me nearly enough time to adequately instruct students, much less to deal with kids not knowing they had library today, and therefore no books, because they can't keep the schedule straight. I would love to hear your suggestions if you have to deal with this sort of schedule in the elementary setting (K-5). -- Danna DeMars, LMS Garrett Elem Hazelwood, MO demarskda@gmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
