Anyone every use the Library of Congress surplus books offer? For what I can tell on their website (http://www.loc.gov/acq/surplus.html<http://www.loc.gov/acq/surplus.html>) you can never tell what will be there and you have to come in person to the Washington LOC office that handles their surplus books. I was just pondering it because I know some people who go back to D.C. every year with the Close Up program and I wondered if it was worth the effort to see if one of them would take an extra suitcase and bring back things for my VERY new, budget-less library. It appears from the website that the materials are free, but you have to arrange to pick them up and remove them yourself. Anyway, if anyone has had experience with this, I'd love to hear about it!
