Hello all, I work at a small private PK3-12 school. Last year we subscribed to 2 online databases: ProQuest K-12 and Culturegrams. We are debating whether or not renew because of the costs. The usage statistics were okay but not great. How do you determine whether or not something is cost effective? In what I've seen, students would rather type a topic into a search engine and see what comes up rather than go to a site. I sometimes think I should teach better web search skills. Any thoughts? Thanks so much.
