I'm a new elementary school media specialist. I was wondering (when you are collaborating with teachers, going back to check resources and prepare for lessons, then perhaps searching vendor products) do you feel that the children's book industry could use more fictional books based on curriculum needs? Or, do you usually locate what you want and locate enough variety. I swear sometimes I think I, myself, should try to write another fictional book on shapes or colors for K-1st, for example. This may seem too silly to even respond to.
