Good evening,

I just wanted to share with you a blog created by our technology department
head here in Caracas, Venezuela. Please take a look and let Jim know what
you think!

http://teachingtech.info/

Also, some of you may be interested in seeing how we've used podcasts at the
elementary level here at our school during library classes. We've had both
our 4th and 2nd graders record podcasts of books /stories they've written.
The 4th graders recorded their versions of just-so stories and the 2nd
graders recorded their own Black Lagoon stories, inspired by Mike Thaler's
series. These stories were written during the class' library sessions.

To hear the podcasts, go to http://www.ciccaracas.com.ve/podcasts/index.php,
and a little bit down the page, you will see "Currently available podcast
episodes" where the Grade 2 Black Lagoon Stories and the Just So Stories are
listed. Hope this inspires someone to try it out in their school!
