[LM_NET] short story help

Oh wise ones,

Hopefully one of you will be able to help me settle this curiosity  
question.

Does anyone remember the title and author of a short story about a  
young girl's birthday party (I think her name is Rachel?) and her  
musings on how, even when you are 7, you sometimes feel 3 or 4 etc.,   
I think it is called "Six" or possibly "Seven".  Ring any bells for  
anyone?
