My mom had the same surgery done, and would truly recommend it for everyone as well. But I must say she had some problems with her eyes. Her retina pulled out more than it should, so she had to make daily trips to the doctor to have a contact put in every day for about month while it healed. This happened when they did the first eye, so they wouldn't do the second eye until it healed. It's not a common thing to happen, but it happened when she did her second eye as well. She would still do it. Loves being able to see her alarm clock in the mornin! The best advice she'd give would be to make sure you find and research the person doing the lasik surgery. I had custom lasik surgery for monovision (one eye for near and one for far) two weeks ago, and it is a life-changing experience. There was no pain, no recovery, instant gratification! I recommend this surgery for anyone who is at that point where one can't see to read and one can't see far either. I was at the point that I couldn't read call numbers on the shelves. Lasik was fantastic for me. Pamela L. Thompson, MLS Library Media Specialist Col. John O.
