** (please post your response directly to me as I'm not sure if the entire list should be burdened with the thread) Some of the staff were discussing the TV drama 'Lost' and think that the island is Purgatory. There was some dispute over whether souls in purgatory get to heaven after they've 'paid their dues' or whether they have to wait for final judgement day, second coming, whatever. Can anyone answer this burning (sorry!) question? My catholic upbringing seems to prefer the former.
