Colleagues, I am trying to come up with some guidelines for rough percents of books for Fiction, Picture books and the Dewey Categories for a school library collection at the elementary, middle and high school levels. I am not sure where to begin but would like to get several sources to review. I would appreciate any suggestions. My references on collection development are at work, but I do not recall specifics. Naturally any divisions would have to be adapted for the school area and population but in general.... Thanks in advance.
