What are your favorite individual short stories by young adult authors? An English teacher at my school has asked for help in choosing 8 short stories by young adult authors to use in literature circles with a class of reluctant readers. He can't use anything from Athletic Shorts by Crutcher because another teacher teaches that book. I've come up with the list below from anthologies that I have read, and I plan to take a few more anthologies home tonight that I have not read, but if any of you have any favorite stories, I would very much appreciate your suggestions. I need titles of individual stories rather than anthologies. Thank you in advance!
