Hi folks - I have a question about some craft type activities for 2nd and 3rd graders. Each year I do a little activity where my first grade classes make a bookmark that looks like a mouse - called a "mousemark". They love it. It comes from an old pattern I have saved from an old mimeo book. It has a tail and whiskers, etc. And it can easily be done it about 45 minutes or two half class periods. It is good book care review at this point in the year. I would like to do something similarly with my second and third graders that ties in to a library skill. Does anyone have ideas that you would like to share with me? I need it to be very simple: cutting, gluing, coloring, etc. and made with paper. Please respond to me directly if you are willing. Thanks very much!
