Thank you to everyone that offered suggestions for a dull pencil sharpener. Now I
have a little more to go on to come up with a solution.

*I know that you can get new blades for the crank sharpeners, but do not
know about electric. I would think that you could.

*Map colors and colored pencils are the death of both kinds of pencil
sharpeners. I keep little hand sharpeners for those things.

*It might need to be cleaned. Sometimes shavings get caught in it and that
can make it less efficient. Try blowing it out with compressed air.

*You might want to open the electric one up as far as you can and see if
there is another little blade in there. I had an electric sharpener and
it came with an extra. It was held in place by a tiny screw.

*Not cost effective best sharpeners are at Dollor tree 10 for $1.00

*What has recently been sharpened some times affects how they cut.

*I pay $10- $15 for an electric pencil sharpener and get 2-3 yrs out.

*They can change the blades out in the manual sharpener.

*I don't think they can sharpen the blades because of the configuration
