LM_NET Archive

To Peter & Mike, Blythe, Michelle & Sue:

I can't believe I almost missed the postings on the change of command at
the helm of LM_NET. Having retired I don't read all my LM_NET mail as
closely as before - I mainly look for HUMOR, OT, book recommendations
and requests for titles, plus anything that I think would interest the
librarian in our middle school where I help out weekly.

I think I will predict that one of Blythe, Michelle & Sue's first jobs
will be to cut off the THANK YOU notes to Peter & Mike :-) Before they
exit stage left, I have one last request of Peter. He used to post, on
an annual basis, the stats on LM_NET...how large we'd grown, how many
countries we covered, etc. I don't remember seeing that for a while and
would love to know how big this "BABY" has become under their loving care.

AND may I add my gratitude to the growing list. The isolation of a
library/media specialist has been all but removed by having this NET of
support. I liken it to that ad (Verizon I think) that has a person being
followed by a mass of Verizon employees making his phone work...Thanks
also to however many of you ARE out there helping one another. May I
quote Garrison Keillor, "Nothing you do for children is ever wasted!"

Thanks to all
