LM_NET Archive

We're opening a new elementary school next fall in my school district and
the principal asked me to gather some information for her.  I'd appreciate
information from any of you who have experience or guidelines for opening
new elementary libraries.  I've searched the archives a bit, but haven't
found exactly what I'm looking for.

1) She would like a list of all of the supplies they'll need for their
library (e.g. book covers, book tape, book ends, etc.).  If anyone has
such a list, it would be incredibly helpful.  I'm not currently in a
library, so I'm hoping to find a list from someone who has already gone
through this process.

2) If you're willing to share, what was your book budget or what formula
is used to determine the book budget?  Was it sufficient to get you
started?  I have estimates from Mackin and Follett, but it's helpful to
hear directly from schools.
