I was one of the 135 new members in January, 1995 when my library professor,
Dr. Shirley Tastad, made it part of her class assignment to join and monitor
LM-NET. I had only learned the year before what the @ symbol meant in the
online world and only twice played with the Internet at that point.
Monitoring LM-NET for Dr. Tastad jump-started me into the 21st Century,
exponentially shortened my learning curve in library media, and provided me
with one of the most valuable tools that I've used ever since. Thank you,
Peter. Thank you, Mike. Your vision took us all light years ahead of where
we'd be otherwise!
