We have about 12,000 circulation and We just installed a library 3M security system for our high school. Our student population currently is 550 to increase to no more than 900. The system does not appear to be working efficiently due to “noise” in the area. I am contemplating returning the system as it has a 1 year return policy. I am now questioning whether it is even worth keeping such an expensive system ($17k). After the 1st year, I will then have to decide whether I want/need the ($1,000/yr) support. I am beginning to think these systems are really used for much larger schools. Any of you have these expensive security systems forsuch a “small” school? Thanks for your comments.
