We are looking to buy a life jacket for Miss 4 so she can go fishing in the boat
with Grandad at
Christmas. I have found something that could well be suitable at Cabelas.com but I
need to know
what "USCG-approved" means. In Australia, we have the Australian Standards levels
known as ASA and
these set the minimum levels of safety and production standards for various items.
I need to know if
USCG-approved is the official equivalent. If not, what notation should I be
looking for?
Thanks
Barbara
