Good afternoon! I have a colleague who is doing some read alouds and booktalks
with preK - 5th grade students. She wants titles that include plots and/or
characters related to libraries and librarians. Her thought is to give literary
images of using the library and the helpfulness of the librarian.

Please respond to me off-list, and I will post a hit of the gems shared.

Thanks!

.

"See, you share the bias against librarians! We are not a bunch of retiring file
clerks who specialize in busy work. We are highly educated professionals who
operate and manage large, high-tech institutions that serve a wide diversity of
people in a wide diversity of very important ways. We do this with minimal
resources and minimal respect. We are creative, resourceful, and very
productive." ~ Will Manley. American Libraries, volume 38:6 (June/July, 2007).
