Before I route them I take the time to peruse all of the teachers' professional periodicals that come into the library. I write in the magazine next to any title that we have in the library "have in the library". When I see a title listed that looks as though it would work in the curriculum well and we don't have it, I quickly order it and then write "on order" next to that title. When I came to our library I kept hearing--"the library never has books that I need so I don't bother. " That comment seems to have stopped! Connie W.
