LM_NET Archive

Wow! I haven't made a habit of reading on the job, but I do logon to LM_Net
at least a couple of times a day on the job. I do feel that LM_Net helps me
keep up with school library issues and provides great suggestions and tips.
This is part of my job and I have no guilt about utilizing LM_Net on the
job. After reading some of the posts on this thread, I may start doing a
little reading too.

I agree with the posters who don't read on the job because they want
students
to feel they are approachable - plus, I think it doesn't help our cause
during tight times or contract negotiations, as administrators are looking
to make
staff cuts, add hall duty to our schedule, etc.
I wouldn't think of logging into lm_net, or catching up on Bella & Edward,
unless it was my lunch period.
