A Staten Island, New York reporter takes a look at why school libraries close their
doors to children at the end of the school day, precisely when they need to keep
their doors open so that kids can do their homework, and of course, research for
their assignments.

Like all things, its a budget matter, and in New York, a political matter.

Is it like this around the country as well?

"Nothing of value comes without being earned, That's why great leaders are those
who lead by example first. You can't demand respect because of a title or a
position and expect people to follow. That might work for a little while, but in
the long run people respond to what they see." - Michael Jordan
