I read on the job and love to have people see me reading. I have signs
in my library that say: "Never apologize for reading, it is the most
important things we do in this building". I nag teachers and
administrators to read on the job - I try to impress the importance of
"modeling" reading. If someone says to me, "Oh you are just reading" -
I respond, "Just (?) reading - reading is the most important things we
do, etc". Since when did librarians become defensive about reading?
