Our truancy court is trying to come up with several books that students might read to do a book report on why it is important to stay in school. Do any of you have any ideas what books might be age level appropriate for a high school or junior high age student? A book with a good purpose or moral behind it is what the judge and prosecuting attorney are really looking for. Any ideas would be appreciated. Our juvenile detention is also interested in books for this purpose. They are looking for ones that are at junior high and lower reading level, too...but junior high interest level.
