[LM_NET] Needing input about the roles of today's library media specialist

Hi Fellow Librarians,
I am taking a grad class at University of Boulder in Denver (taking an online 
class), and am writing about the current roles and responsibilities of librarians 
and hoping you could answer a few questions.  They are:

It would be helpful if you had some input for me on the following questions/topic. 

1.What personality traits do thing are important for a media specialist to have?  
An example of when that trait was helpful for you to have in a teaching or working 
with teachers experience.

2. What skills do you think media specialists must have, are there media 
specialists in the field today lacking those skills (from your experience)?

3. What are the your required duties as a media specialist, which ones do you think 
should not be required.  Which ones are crucial or important?
