[LM_NET] Target: Picture books gr.3-6

My school district has an annual Community Read Aloud day in February. I am looking 
for suggested titles that might interest students in grades 3-6. It is usually easy 
to find appropriate titles for the K-2 audience, but very difficult to find a good 
title with high interest appeal for students in grades 3-6. There are certain 
guidelines: The book must be a picture book, have appeal to both boys and girls, 
and have a 2007 copyright. It cannot be a seasonal book, but it can be fiction or 
nonfiction. For example, last year we selected "Show Way" by Jacqueline Woodson for 
Grade 5 and considered "Owen and Mzee" by Isabella Hatkoff.  Please send 
recommended titles to me and I will compile and publish a HIT of all the replies 
received and also let you know which titles the committee eventually decides.
