O wise ones, My husband is putting together a scrapbook about his dad's service flying in World War II. He was sent copies of photographs of his dad's crew and aircraft, by the 360th Bomb Wing Museum, taken by US Army Air Force photographers in 1943. Today he went to get copies made for his 3 siblings but the lady at the store would not give him the copies because he didn't have a copyright release from the photographers. Does anyone know what the duration for copyright of photographs taken during the 1940s might be? Thanks for your help.
