My question was:
>>I was talking with my cousin and we both remember a company that would
send out a catalog of "STUFF" things like plastic trays that airlines
used to serve food, plastic bottles, styrofoam sheets, tasting spoons.
Lots from airlines and from medical supply houses. Great stuff for
teachers especially lower.
Anyone know this company, do they still send catalogs or did they go to
a web page.

I told my cousin that someone here would know and several people did. I am
including only two of the posts as the others have the same information. As
it says below, while they have a web site, reading the catalog is well worth
the time to order it.

Your description sounded familiar-- my kids LOVED reading this catalog-- so
I dug into an OLD pile of catalogs and found "American Science & Surplus:
incredible stuff, unbelievable prices!" We used to get it frequently, but
haven't gotten one recently; the one I found was dated February 2003.
However, when I went to the website listed (www.sciplus.com)-- it looks just
like the catalogs we used to get... you can also ask for a printed catalog--
the numbers listed for calling or emailing are as follows:

I hope this is the company you were looking for-- and I thank you for
jogging MY memory-- I will check their website and request a printed catalog
too-- I have missed their interesting sense of humor! And I might just find
some things that my grandkids would like!

Could it be American Science & Surplus? http://www.sciplus.com/ They have
all kinds of odd stuff like glass bottles without stoppers, bulk lots of
hook& loop tape, cd cases with misprinted logos, and some real science stuff
too. I love the funny writeups for the item descriptions and have had good
service with them.

Another cool science supply is Edmund Scientific http://www.edsci.com/ I
remember my dad ordering prisms and bimetal disks that flipped into the air
when they cooled after you popped them over.
