Hi, Our entire 5th grade needs to read a contemporary fiction book for the first two marking periods and I wanted to know what you feel is the definition since our teachers are not clear on what time period to use and what falls under contemporary fiction. (sports, mystery, humor, all of the above?) Is is just the copyright date and the settting or just one? Could you please send some examples of titles and authors that I could use to compile a list? I was thinking most of Judy Blume, Hoot, The Girls by Koss, Matt Christopher without the dog pitching, etc. Thanks Sharon Sharon Bradley Boyle, Teacher LibrarianOld York LibraryBranchburg, NJGrades 3-5oylib@hotmail.comhttp://www.teacherweb.com/nj/Branchburg/OYlibrary/ _________________________________________________________________ Climb to the top of the charts!
