Amy,

As long as it is only on your network you can do this under the educational
guidelines. You can't put it on the web-then it violates the copyright.

  Dear LM_Net:

I would like to promote new books this year by putting a picture
of the book cover, and narrating a "booktalk" about the book into a
PPoint presentation.

I was wondering if it was "ok" under copyright law to narrate (with my
voice) book descriptions that I find on Amazon or perhaps narrate the
inside cover of the book. By book descriptions I mean the summary that
is often posted on Amazon.com (without credit to an author). I would be
reading aloud these descriptions on the PPoint slide, and putting the
PPoints on our network for students to access whenever they want to.

Thanks!
