[LM_NET] TAR: Do you know this book?

Let's see if any of us can come up with this one.  Our wonderful office assistant 
is trying to locate the name and author of a book she read in high school.  It was 
about four women in their early twenties, sisters.  One had a problem with alcohol, 
one had an abusive husband, etc.  All four had some type of problem.  It was a very 
popular book at her school.  It took place in modern times in America.  Any ideas?  
I'm completely drawing a blank!
