When my high school classes come in, I ask the teacher if I may do some book talks with the students? They usually say yes since this also let's them know about books and authors they may not be familiar with. Just be ready to have the holds placed on books that kids want to read. I am sometimes backlogged with holds on a book title for a couple of months. Animated picture of books falling into a stack on top of each other. I was just listening to Nancy Keane's booktalks. They are terrific and many of the new books I have purchased are there. I don't have fixed classes with middleschoolers. They do come in (some of them) for a fixed book selection time. I would love to share a couple of these booktalks with students every now and then, but can't get my head actually working as to how to do that. Do any of you do this? How? http://nancykeane.com/rss.html Connie W.
