About 15 years ago I helped implement a sick bank for our faculty. Each staff member contributes one day a year (only if the bank gets low) and catastrophically ill members may draw days to help cover sick days. We are now having a problem with defining "catastrophic", it seems. We may have to go in and interpret it in such specific terms that no one will want to contribute. If you have such a policy or have some interpretation problems as well, please write to me. Thanks.
